On January 14th, 2021, Xie Kaigui, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University, led a team to Chongqing Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid conducting scientific and technological innovation exchange. Relevant leaders from two parties attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Li Wenjiang, Director of the Science and Technology Department of Chongqing Electric Power Company.
School of Electrical Engineering first introduced the cooperation contents of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between State Grid Corporation and Chongqing University. Based on the principle of “l(fā)ong-term, complementary advantages, resource sharing, collaborative innovation and mutual benefit and win-win”, the two sides carried out exchanges in scientific and technological innovation cooperation, together promoting the transformation and industrialization of scientific achievements, strengthening the communication of talent training, policy research and management consulting.
Director Li Wenjiang stressed that in recent years, the two sides have established a good cooperative relationship. In accordance with the strategic cooperation framework agreement, the two sides should promote the implementation of the long-term working mechanism as soon as possible, establish a number of research teams, set up cooperation affairs offices, tackle difficult problems together, plan ahead and jointly apply important projects, to realize the sharing of test facilities and data.
Dean Xie Kaigui hoped that during the 14th Five Year Plan period, under the background of building the new power system with new energy as the main body, the two sides would have jointly studied and determined the key research fields and directions in the future, improved the system and mechanism, strengthened the planning of scientific and technological projects. Besides, the two sides would continuously cooperate in promoting the transformation and application of research achievements, exploring the mechanism of talent training and sharing, and conducting the construction of joint laboratories.
